Kuala Lumpur series (3): Kompleks Budaya Kraf

My family and I were recently on holiday in Kuala Lumpur (KL), the capital city of Malaysia. This week I wish to share with you a few sites and curiosities that I saw while in KL.

Today I feature KL’s Kompleks Budaya Kraf or The Craft Cultural Complex. It is located at Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur. It’s a one-stop venue for you to explore Malaysian culture and crafts!

This one-stop handicraft complex sprawls on lush landscaped grounds. There are four main blocks that house its shops and stalls, craft museum, exhibition area and workshops.
Main Building of
Kompleks Budaya Kraf

A wide selection of fabric for sale
Grab yourself a local Malay outfit!

“A Journey of Batik” Exhibition
-history, displays and video demonstrations of different batik making techniques and traditions
This was definitely the highlight of my visit
to the Craft Complex.
The Craft Museum
Artist  Village and Workshops
Try your hand on some local crafts from batik making,
wood carving, painting, weaving.
Or if you just want to observe the artists
and craftsmen at work, that is fine too.
