Starter Stamp Art 4: SUNdala
Today we use the sun stamp of the MÅLA Stamp pen set from Ikea to create a SUNdala (sun mandala).
Materials:
MÅLA sun stamp pen from IKEA
drawing paper
coloured pencils: yellow, purple, blue, green, pink
Let’s get started…
Step 1 – Make 4 layers of circles of different sizes to start your mandala. Make some sun impressions using the MÅLA stamp pen, preferably equidistant.
Step 2 – Use at least 5 colours of pencils; I used yellow, purple, blue, green, pink. Create different patterns around the suns.
Step 3 – Finish off your mandala with scalloped edges using yellow coloured pencil.

And there you go – you just made a special SUN-dala!
This sun mandala is just an example of course, once you’ve stamped those suns, they can be whatever you want them to be, and wherever your imagination takes them.
So do… reflect on this mandala as your world. Balance, colour and cherish it!
