Wakame-Cucumber Salad for a serious taste of the sea digital collage by Paulina Constancia After this week’s ‘Somethings Fishy’ series I thought it would be nice to have a culinary treat from the sea as well. Here is a delicious salad from Japan.
It’s a sunomono (vinegared dish) made with wakame and cucumber.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup dry wakame
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/8 to 1/4 cup of sugar
2 Tablespoon sesame seeds (black and white)
1 skinny Japanese cucumber (or 1/2 fat cucumber)
sliced into thin rounds
Optional:
1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
Preparation:
