HEART CRAFTS 1- The Hanging Heart

Welcome to a new week here on DDoA! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. This week I bring you HEART CRAFTS: simple and easy to follow craft projects for Valentine’s. The names of the projects are puns to love situations (I’m sure you can relate, hahaha).

THE HANGING HEART
(pun intended: love left hanging…)

Materials:
  • cardboard
  • various rubber stamps
  • red ink stamp pad
  • red permanent marker(fine point)
  • white crafting glue
  • red card stock paper & ribbon for hanging loop
Instructions:
Step 1- Cut heart shape out of cardboard.
(freehand or use a template, that’s up to you)
Step 2- Following the contour of the heart,
start stamping the outermost space.
Step 3- Stamp center of heart 1 to 3 bigger stamp designs.

Step 4- Fill the space around the centre design
using smaller rubber stamps.

Step 5- Add more details
using a red fine point permanent marker.
Step 6- Cut a small piece of red card stock paper
and make a hanging loop using a red ribbon.
Step 7- Adhere hanging loop to back using white crafting glue. Allow to dry completely before hanging.

“Love is always bestowed as a gift – freely, willingly and without expectation. We don’t love to be loved; we love to love.”
