Saints of Creative Spirits (6): Mini Canvas Homage to the Patron Saint of Artists

It’s Craft Day on Daily Dose of Art! Here is today’s Creative Project:

A Mini Canvas Homage
to Saint Luke –Patron Saint of Artists

Since I am an artist, I thought it would be great to make a special collage on a mini-canvas to pay homage to the Patron Saint of Artists- St. Luke. Here is a collage project  I created digitally which you could easily mimic using actual materials. Here’s how…

Get The Materials Ready
1 mini-canvas with easel
1 printed image of St. Luke
2 nice papers (to coordinate with Saint’s image)
Modge Podge or white glue

Steps:
1. Crop part of image of Saint Luke that you want to use.
2. Cut the coordinating paper you are going to use
for the background and for the sides of the mini-canvas
Image Source for dots & stripes
3. Using modge podge or white glue,
adhere coordinating background paper to the canvas.
Allow to dry completely.
4. Adhere cropped image of St. Luke.
Allow to dry completely.
Optional: Using dimensional paint (gold or glitter gold),
add details to your artwork.
